The original was drawn and painted in Istanbul, Turkey in early 2023 - on location. This was my first time drawing the famous blue mosque and I was struck by the contrast of all the buildings and people 'looking up' to the building from the different levels of the city. The original is part of a sketchbook project in Istanbul over a week.
